I have heard talk of safety nets lately.
How people are forced into success because their safety net disappeared.
The fortuitous lay off is a prime example. How you would never “quit” your job, but when it disappeared you were forced to find your passion.
We are cutting the strings on our safety net. We are about to enter free fall.
It comes down to resolving our biggest unhappiness.
His work.
So, we can’t keep the job, and if we don’t have the job, we can’t keep the house.
So, easy!
So folks, we’re outta here. We are going on our great adventure. We are heading into the “wilds of the world’ to find our life!
Crap… how scary is that? I have never, ever in my life lost a safety net. I have never “had” to make something work. It has always been my choice to be successful. I have always had a job, a home, a supporter… something.
But, we have made the decision, and made it for the right reasons. If we don’t do this, we will regret it. As my hubby said, he doesn’t want us to look at each other in 25 years, with a mortgage free house, with plenty of opportunity ahead of us… and not have a relationship anymore. To have so many regrets from the life we had lived, that we can’t go forward together and live a life.
We want our kids to live extraordinary lives. We have to show them how to do this… it is the only way they will learn.
So, we are off to be extraordinary…. (with an underlying of fear for me!)
