I was into Barbies when I was little. Big time.
I would spend HOURS creating amazing communities for my Barbie dolls, homes, towns, and creative conversations between them.

We had a pool table, and under the pool table was “Barbie-ville”  We even used eggs cups with blue dyed water in them as pretend toilets.

It was awesome. It was creative and it was play.

I was looking forward to having daughters who would also love Barbies and give me an excuse to break open my suitcase of Barbie clothes and dolls and get me playing again.

And I did. I have two daughters, both eager to jump into play with Barbies when they have a chance, and it is pretty awesome to be listening into their chatter upstairs as they play.

And Barbies have changed a lot since my day, (can we say “Barbie cords”) and my girls love them!  And now, Barbie has a new movie coming out on Blue Ray and DVD on March 11th.
