Sometimes the internet is used for some pretty amazing things, and sometimes, when we have a chance, it is nice to offer our voice to help support a good cause, or great event.
Buy Art, Not Kids is an event happening in Toronto on April 4th to raise money to support the charity Ratanak International, a Canadian charity that rescues and rehabilitates child sex trafficking victims in Cambodia.
Here in our comfy chairs, we may come across the occasional story about sex trafficking, or perhaps a movie based on the idea, but it never touches us directly.
But if you take one moment and look at your daughters, whatever age they may be, and start to think of what life could be like for them in different circumstances, it may open your heart a little.
It could also strike some fear as well.
Sex trafficking does occur, and it happens to our children. Girls as young as 3. Daughters we would consider “our babies”
