Could you imagine waking up on a Saturday morning and having your bedroom filled with Hot Wheels sets?  Little dude did exactly that!  We had a rainy day ahead and he and dad hunkered down and PLAYED.

They built, changed, and created awesomeness in his room that weekend and we awakened in him an excitement for the Hot Wheels cars and tracks.

But more than that, he learned.

He had to learn the correct height of the track to get the speed the car needed to go through the loop.  He had to adjust the jump angle and distance so that the car could LEAP the CHASM. His brain adapted and he strategized with his dad on the BEST track, and the BEST system to build.

I love standing back and watching him and his Dad build, and play. Overhearing their conversations and chattering and feeling blessed that hubby has a chance to play “cars” and not “dolls” again!

Play is more than “play” We learn to work as a team, to communicate and to apply skill and knowledge and put it into action.

It is a cross-national competition implemented to inspire boys to build exciting, original and creative Hot Wheels® track. Participants will upload a picture of their track at hotwheels.ca, where they will be judged by an expert panel consisting of architects and creative specialists.

The winner of the Hot Wheels® Track Builder Challenge will win a huge Hot Wheels® Track Party for them and their friends, hosted by Hot Wheels®.

The contest will run from March to August, and the winner will be announced in September.
