It can be so easy to continue on, to be swept along the path of least resistance.

To submit to the current.

We sometimes feel that this is the right path, that destiny will lead us and we will end up where we are supposed to be at the end.

But what happens when we stand firmly on the ground and start choosing our path, and forcing the current around us.  We stand, immobile and full of confidence in the stream, sure of our footing and prepared for the pressures of the waves.

When we decide on a course of action, we change our path, and often the path of those around us.  When we make decisions based on our needs and wants and loves and dreams, we start altering the course of our life.

And these changes, they lead us where we WANT to go, not where we are swept along.

But choosing can be scary. We will always have to sacrifice something, and the fear that we are letting go of something we may need again, one day, can stall our decision making.

But trust me when I tell you, you will never be more empowered than when you make a decision for yourself.  When you CHOOSE to do something completely and entirely.

Too often we are swept along in someone else’s dream for us.
Its now time to choose your own dream.
