Our kids get out of school December 18th and don’t return until January 5th. That is a long time to engage, and entertain a houseful of excited little people.
My eldest daughter is already making a schedule for us, including a full day of baking, tree decorating, gift wrapping and sledding (if there is snow).
And all of that is great, up until December 26th, when it is time to clean up (and clean eat) after a holiday of indulging.
So this year I am planning ahead. The kids will get “post holiday entertainment” under the tree. Items they will be excited to pull out after the paper is packed away and something that will keep them engaged and entertained for all the hours I need to do that “post christmas clean”
These fabulous Crayola art kits are the PERFECT thing to entertain our kids (yes, even the 5 year old) AND the 15yr old exchange student
The Crayola Beadola Charm Maker and Sketch Wizard are PERFECT for my 11 year old daughter. Not only is she passionate about her drawing, she is keen to improve and do better work. The Sketch Wizard reflects 2-D and 3-D objects so that kids can accurately trace them to paper. I often catch my gal taking pictures of the chickens, or dragging her sketch pad down to the coop. Now she can actually pull the pics off her tablet, and onto the Sketch Wizard for amazing “fowl” art!
And as we have a 15year old Exchange student in the house, I am hoping that the whole crew will be entertained by the Beadola Charm Maker, and perhaps I might even get a new handmade charm bracelet, full of my little people’s love?
The Charm Maker uses air dry clay and comes with 24 bead designs, paint pots and gems. Check out this fun video for more info!
The WideScreen Light Designer is perfect for my little dude.
He watches his big sisters drawing and is desperate to keep up with them. He can scribble, doodle and draw to his hearts content here, and just by sliding the action button he can illuminate his designs in sequence.
And the best part? If he doesn’t like what he has done it is one quick swipe of the screen and he can start from scratch! For a little dude who loves to help, and often gets mucky doing so, this sounds like the perfect “Big Boy” gift!
Now, I can’t forget the middle one now can I? The girl who is always pulled between being an “older girl” or getting goofy and playing with the “little brother”
The Crayola Paint Maker is the perfect in-between. Not only does she get to play chef and create her own colours via the mess free colour strips, she can also share her custom creations with her siblings as they paint and create me a masterpiece.
Of course, not only will all these Crayola gifts keep the kids entertained for hours, they also fold up for easy storage when they aren’t in use.
And you know what they say, “The best way to spread Christmas Cheer is by Making Art for those far and near” (or at least, I THINK that was what it was)
It makes me feel good that we don’t just have “stuff” under the tree for the kids this year, but actual gifts that they can use over and over again, that will fine tune their artistic skills and allow their imagination to soar.
