January, back to school and back to routine, and with that comes “Back to bugs”. With the notices coming home noting classroom break outs of strange lurgies, it has me feeling like Gandalf, protecting myself as the kids walk through the door after school.
Germs, YOU SHALL NOT PASS!
I say my mantra as I wipe feverish brows, and stuff the kids full of vitamins. I repeat “You will not succumb” over and over again hoping that pure will is enough to keep me healthy.
I wipe doorknobs and light switches, allowing no surface to host these little bugs, no matter what breed or variety they are. I fight the good fight, I stay strong.
I try to get myself and the rest of the crew to bed early, and fill out fridge with fresh fruits and vegetables, hoping to fill our bodies with vitamins and nutrients.
I walk, I run, I get outside and breath fresh clean air.
And mostly I keep the bugs at bay.
Until one little crack shows up in my armour. A late night work session, or a restless sleep because of the winter storm brewing outside. A sick little boy who only wants to snuggle and ends up breathing hot, germy breath all over me. Little openings that create a “body ache” or scratchy throat. That low grade fever you just can’t seem to beat, or the queasy tummy that only wants toast.
So, I fight it before it has a chance to take up residence. I battle, and lay my defences out, stronger and with more protection.
Using an all-in-one pain, fever and nausea reliever, such as Gravol™ Multi-symptom™ can help battle down the first signs of a bug. With naturally-sourced ginger and willowbark, it will help fight off that nasty Canadian cold, without leaving you feeling drowsy.
Between a busy work schedule, and a fun filled life, there is just no TIME to be sick! Thankfully my combined forces are working. I am making it through winter cold season with a healthy body and thriving attitude.
So far. . . .
