Trust me, you just aren’t ready. It isn’t the right time.
You aren’t ready to apply for that blogging opportunity. Or the freelancing one, or the ambassadorship.
You aren’t ready to upgrade your theme, or write about that ONE thing that is a burning a hole in your brain.
You shouldn’t get a new camera, and you are definitely NOT ready to attend that conference. That is WAY over your head.
Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT reach out to that person you have always admired and support them, and never, ever consider joining a blogger facebook group.
In fact, just stop thinking of yourself as a blogger all together…
What you should do is spend WAY more time on other peoples’ blogs realizing what you are doing wrong. In fact, why don’t you try writing a few dozen posts and saving them in drafts, never to be published.
You should judge yourself against unreal standards, and realize you will never be as good as blogger X.
Ever.
You should write things, just so they go viral… and even if you don’t like food, or crafts, or DIY.. you should focus on them on your site- they give good SEO you know. You should try to filter out ALL your photos so you look better in them, and only post the good stuff – people don’t want to see the real you.
After a few months of this, just give up. If it doesn’t happen in the first month or so of blogging, it never will. The ONLY thing you should want is to be HUGELY successful.
Don’t tell your story. Don’t be yourself. You aren’t ready.
You never will be.
Unless, of course, you decide you are.
Just apply, write, connect, and experience. Be you.
No one else can tell you when, how or where, that is something you need to decide on your own. No one else knows you.
So, even if you aren’t ready, do it anyway. Give it a shot, see what happens. . . I mean, what is the worst thing that could come of it?
