Our New Baby Nubian Goat

She’s HERE! Our baby Nubian goat has finally arrived.

And I was so worried, but everything went perfectly.  We had separated her last night into her birthing shed, and this morning noticed a small amount of discharge. We left her alone, figuring it would be a few hours, and checked her 30 minutes later and BABY!

Baby was born on the soft dirt, and mommy passed the placenta a few hours later.  Baby has nursed, and mommy is loving her new kid.

She is a purebred Nubian, and (obviously) a little girl! (thank goodness)
