I am not a fussy kind of girl, although I DO like a good haircut, and only buy comfortable shoes (No matter HOW good they look)
So, general feminine maintenance was never really the top of my list.
Except for my eyebrows. They are always a necessary thing to maintain.
I have been getting them threaded for years now, and when I mentioned to a friend that I would be booking an appointment on my next trip to the city, she swayed, suggested, forced, convinced me to try “her” place.
Now. If you know anything about my trip to the city last week, you will remember that was the day of the “TRAGI-CUT” so when I walked into the brow joint I was stressed, tired and blotchy from crying. I had struggled with the city traffic and was hanging darn close to “bitchy” on the meter.
I was warmly greeted, even as I told my tragic tale and she “went about her business”
The brow thread was AMAZING. She was able to keep the fullness, while still giving me a bit more arch than the “other” guys.
And then she tinted me.
No, not the brows. The lashes. It was a 15 minute massage while the tinting dried that took the bad out of the day, and set me up for what I had to do that evening.
No one really noticed much, but then again no body really got all that close to me to look.
Until I got home.
Hubby noticed the hair, but what really made the impact was the eyes.
Especially when I woke up the next more, hair all a mess, and face needing to be scrubbed.
He walked over to me and said “You can get those eyelashes done ANY TIME”
I think it might have been sexy . . . just a guess.
So, check them out, and tell them Julie sent you. And next time I see you, I WILL notice your lashes and the bedroom eyes you are toting around.
And you know what… rocking my lashes DID make me feel better about my hair!
