I like new years. As the clock turns on December 31st it feels like it washes away all the dust of the past and buries the dips and the bumps.
And, of course, we are usually well filled with champagne which turns a rosy glow to the evening.
We brought in the new year with great, long time friends. It was a night filled with a bit of laughter, introspection and conversation . . . well a night and a morning since we didn’t really hit the pillow until after 3am.
Feet dragged in the morning, and brains were foggy as our guests caught the ferry home. Back to bed for the hubby, and I succumbed during the dudes nap time.
I would love to be one of those people that STARTS on January 1st,
but, it just isn’t realistic.
I still have to get over saying goodbye to the last year before I can welcome the next.
So today, January 2nd was the first day of MY new year. Today I started . . . and it was a good start.
And we packed away all the leftover holiday booze and loaded up the pickup truck (seriously the whole back of it) with returnables.
Tomorrow I will take out my liver and let it detox.
and then I will start to share with you some changes, for this site, for me . . . good changes! I promise!
