I am not the most computer savvy person, even though it is an item I use every single day in my life and my work. It really is the ONE tool (other than my brain) that my job is dependant upon!
The most important thing to me is that I have a computer that it easy to use and is able to manage the heavy load I put it through.
And that is FAST.
Being non technical, I am also not patient with technology, and in my business day I spent the majority of it MULTI TASKING. I jump from project to project, and platform to platform. I need things to happen NOW! When I click, it needs to respond.
I had the chance to try the Intel 2in1 via our Dell Inspiron and I didn’t realize how bad I had it with our old laptop. Mornings used to be me turning on the computer, and then going to make the kids breakfast. By the time I had finished, it was warmed up and ready for action.
During the day as I attempted to load larger documents or images, I would actually leave my desk to go and make a cup of tea. It would take THAT long for the computer to load. The frustration with this out of date beast was all consuming. It was slowing down my work, and freezing platforms as I was in the middle of designing images or building power points. It ended up that in a single day, I was drinking A LOT of tea.
FAST AND RESPONSIVE!
Within seconds of turning on the Dell Inspiron with Intel 2in1 the speed was impactful. It was fast. Really fast. And apparently the size of your processor DOES matter to how well you can do your work.
There gets a point in everyone’s work that they need to upgrade and invest back into their business. You need better tools to do your job, and when the ONLY tool you need is a computer, you might as well go with one that is not only FAST, but also easy to use.
So easy, in fact, that out 11 year old daughter set the laptop up when it arrived! It was user friendly, and she was able to get the machine running, and working (and even customized the desk top) within 20 minutes of us opening the box!
With Intel 2in1 you have a laptop AND a touch screen and for our digitally trained fingers this is the perfect blend of device for us to master. Humans are working with computers more instinctually these days, and I find myself flipping back and forth between tablet and desktop mode continually as my fingers seem to understand what I need before my brain does!
As a writer, I type, and scan and scroll. I enlarge text, reduce sizing to check layout and open multi screens to research information. I multitask every minute of my workday… and I have yet to meet a laptop that could keep up, until I tried the Dell Inspiron with Intel 2in1
TOUCH SCREEN!
So, to answer the age old question, “does size really matter”? Yes, in many things, including your processor, it most definitely does! I recommend investing in a good one as well… one that can keep up with you as you as you multitask your way into a successful business. Be sure to look for the INTEL logo on YOUR next laptop… I guarantee it can keep up!
