This is our FOURTH anniversary Blab, which means that for one whole month, we have been blabbing every thursday night on topics that appeal and support bloggers. Now, I’m not sure about my co-host Fadra Nally, but for me, the gal with commitment issues, this is a pretty big deal.
We run these blabs, with our amazing special guests, so that we can provide an opportunity for bloggers and influencers to ask the questions they NEED to know, and this week we are getting serious!
We have two amazing PR professionals joining us as our guests. Natalie Rea from Influence Central, and Anne Hogan.
Natalie Rea: After a lengthy and boring career in wholesale telecom sales operations (say that 3x fast!), Natalie Rea began freelancing community management services for a variety of organizations including Help! We’ve Got Kids, Volunteer Canada, and YummyMummyClub.ca.
Today, Natalie is the Editor & Community Manager for Influence Central. She oversees all Canadian and U.S. outreaches, MomCentral.com content, and Canadian blogger selection, while managing community-facing Influence Central social properties.
We want to have a REAL chat about what they are looking for from bloggers. What is earned media, and how can a blogger build a relationship with a PR network to start getting compensated posts. What are they actually looking for when hiring a blogger, and what things can a blogger do to become more hireable?
Anne Hogan: Anne is currently a Digital Manager at Golin’s Los Angeles office, where she also serves as the global Pinterest lead on the agency’s Digital Platform Council. When she’s not tweeting, you can find her playing with her rescued Pomeranian, Teddy.
