It’s the little dudes birthday today. Number FOUR.
He is “older” now. and taller (and apparently better behaved as well) according to him.
And he is a bit cuter too.
And it has been four long years with him as he has tried to find his way to fit into our family. Four years of getting through the baby stage one last time. Four years of adapting to a little boy. . . after two little girls.
And I think he is turning out all right.
He is a pretty good helper, and pulls his weight around the property.
With the farming and the critters- he is always the first to volunteer to help.
He is a character, full of personality and is “mostly” in a good mood. He makes us laugh more than all the other kids put together and is always striking a pose, or pulling a face when I grab the camera.
He is currently a vegetarian- by choice- as he just can’t fathom eating LIVING creatures. We have no clue where this came from (as the rest of us are major carnivores) but are working through it. I guess if you spend your days kissing chickens it is hard to chew on one later in the day.
I’m not sure where he will end up in this big world, or what he will be, but I do know that he is an adventurer at heart, always forging ahead and exploring what is around him. He thrives outside, and enjoys anything to do with the outdoors. So, no matter what he does become when he “grows up” I know it will be awesome.
And through all his crazy quirks and squishy hugs, he IS a super hero at heart. He leaps to aid, he worries about others and shares the really good treats! He will always be my superhero.
