It can often be the little things that really get under your skin. The “seemingly insignificant” stuff that bothers us the most.
Like that tag on the inside of your shirt that rubs the skin of your neck “just so”
Or, for our favourite toddlers, the misaligned sock inside the boot.
Or an itch.
An itch can throw my day and obsess my mind making it difficult to focus on anything. It (literally) gets under your skin and until the need is satisfied it can be all consuming.
And an eczema itch can be even worse.
My eldest daughter suffered from eczema from her very first winter. I remember changing her that first year and seeing her skin red, and bumpy and hot to the touch. Her eczema was so bad her skin was thick in texture, and not soft like a baby should be.
And the pain it caused her – first dealing with the eczema itself, and then having us try and treat it. She would complain about how the creams and lotions stung and burned when applied for years.
Our little man has had his journey with eczema as well (I thank dad’s gene’s for this) and we are happy we have experience soothing it, so he suffers less than his big sis.
We were thrilled to find the La Roche-Posay lotion to help treat her skin, and soothe it in the process.
We also love the new Itch Free Day contest La Roche-Posay has running right now in the efforts to help eczema sufferers sleep better at night with their 100 families program.
Because, as we know, even a little itch can make a big impression.
Help La Roche-Posay treat eczema in families across canada and enter to WIN La Roche-Posay products with the grand prize winner having their drawing on the new La Roche-Posay bottle for all to see.
Enter via the link, download and print the contest entry form, have your child draw an “Itch free day” and then scan (or mail) the form back before march 2nd 2014 to be eligible to WIN.
Let’s get rid of the itch, because as we know, having the little things in your life running smoothly can make the bigger challenges in your day much easier to deal with.
