Working behind a computer all day long, from your living room, can get a bit lonely, and I am a huge believer that individuals should do their most to learn and engage with their industry! I have been a professional speaker since I was 22, and have run workshops to crowds of 5 to 500, (actually, once it was about 20,000… but that’s another story) I am a passionate teacher, no matter the topic, and enjoy having the opportunity to work with others, and offer education and inspiration!
Here are a few places I have been a speaker:
Blogwest conference ambassador – Edmonton 2013
Connecting Bloggers & Brands conference Ambassador – Vancouver 2013
every WOMAN Whistler – conference adviser and passionate advocate.
Blissdom Canada 2014 Ambassador/Community Leader and speaker
LINK 2013 Sheblogs conference – attendee and speaker
Blissdom Canada 2015 Speaker
BlogU Maryland, Speaker
ROAM conference Speaker, 2015

Hi Julie,
I just read your blog post, IS YOUR LIFESTYLE A HOBBY? OR IS IT TRULY A WAY OF LIFE?. I wanted to express how that truly helped me with restlessness over a conversation I had last night. I am a Christian and in the past 5 yrs my mind, body, soul and spirit participate in Christianity as a way of life, not just Sunday morning in the confines of the church structure. In the conversation the other person had labeled my interest in my faith/belief as a hobby. A definite feeling of offense rose in me because he was minimizing my life to a hobby. I didnt want to argue and reserved the subject for further study so I would be able to clarify how I felt about the subject matter next time it came up. I talked to my spiritual mom which was a great help of course. But as far as being able to explain what I meant by lifestyle to this individual, your piece was perfect. Your passion for the life you and your family are living, (the CHOICE), was exactly what I needed to inspire the words in my next conversation. I looked for an answer and I believe God put your blog on my screen 🙂
Thank you,
Lori Uchida
I just read your post about people not being as strong as they look. It really resonated with me, as I experienced an extremely traumatic incident at work 2 years ago. My body literally started falling apart about a year ago. I have since quit that job and I haven’t looked back. I feel like my health is gradually improving. Thank you for writing this post.
Thank you.. and power to you as you find your strength again!
