Here is one thing I know is true, everyone has days they want to give up.
To stop. To just go back to bed, stop answering emails, to shut down.
Sometimes it sneaks up, slowly, building from over work and exhaustion. You know it is coming, and you can usually prepare yourself for when it will hit.
It is the times it slams into you without warning that are the worst tho. When the wind really does leave your sails.
And the truth?
It does happen to everyone. It does happen all over the place, to all sorts and kinds, for all varying reasons. It happens in the midst of success, or failure. It happens on happy days, or sad.
It just happens.
So, you pick yourself back up, you remind yourself that you are doing just ok as you are. You remember that by continuing to look forward, and keeping focussed on YOU, you will stay on the path and remain true to what you love.
And brick by brick you rebuild.
You stop worrying about them, that, and this. You are re-energized by innovation and success and you find your feet in the shoes you chose to wear.
And you gain your stride.
Until the next time, of course.
But, as the years go by, you get more and more accustomed to these dips and moments where you lack confidence and you realize they are an integral part of remaining humble and human. You learn to appreciate them as a “check in” point, and respect the reasons why they occur.
Lord knows no one is perfect. . . not even you, and that is what makes you so wonderful.
Be humble friends.
Be original.
Innovate and create, don’t copy.
Keep you eyes ahead of you, and blaze new paths.
Respect the space you own, and treat it well.
