As a parent we get a lot of weird questions. Crazy things our kids ask us, usually at our most hectic times. Lately my little dude is obsessed with whether I would be a Dinosaur or a Mouse.
“I don’t know darling, which one would you want me to be”
“Mom. the DINO is STRONG, and the MOUSE is FAST”
“Oh, I guess I would be the Dino then” I said and then mutter “. . . seeing as no one else wants to help carrying in the groceries”
Of course we are talking about Animal Mechanicals.
Of course.
Because what else would I be talking about with an obsessed 4 year old?
And it hurts my brain, trying to keep up with all this stuff. Trying to remember who Johnny Test is, and what a “power poop” is. . . and do I even want to know.
I mean, I can hardly keep up with my own interests, let alone his.
But the one thing that makes me try, being a die hard canuck, is that all these shows are Canadian made. And since little dude can stream them on netflix, there is no RUSHING to see them when they air.
And it means I can catch up on them when he dozes . . . especially Magic School Bus… my one and only resource for understanding EVERYTHING.
That is where I learned how eggs are actually made, and how a motor works. . . our that tricky photosynthesis.
Now they just need to do an episode on the stock market and I will have it made!
