With iced up mornings and cold floors and a constant fire burning this week, I keep thinking back to last year at this time.

Last year, our two weeks in St Lucia with kids (thanks to TomTom). Enjoying the beach, the sunshine, the (holy moly) heat! The food, and open bar (and regular smoothies for the kids)

The kids keep asking when we will be going back, and the reality is, probably never.

We may head back “that way” but our chances of doing a trip like that again, in the near future- pretty slim.

So, I will remember it. And appreciate the awesome opportunity we had (winning the trip for 5, PLUS $15,000 cash) and I will think back on all the awesome moments we had.

And then I will stuff my toes into some wool socks, and tie my scarf on and bring some hot oatmeal to the ducks so they can fill their bellies with something warm.

Because, being here right now- well that aint so and after all!.
