Every year I stumble over helping Santa find useful and fun “little” items to stuff our kids stockings! As the welcome to Christmas morning, a stocking is one of those things that can delight and enchant.
So, if your little ones are on the “good list” this year and won’t be getting a stocking filled with coal, try out some of these fabulous ideas to keep it interesting and useful.
KidzBob toothbrushes
I love popping some health products into stockings, and these Arm & Hammer Kidzbop toothbrushes are a great mix of fun and functional! They come in a variety of colours and can be found anywhere arm & hammer toothbrushes are sold.
Crayola
If one Crayola product will keep them active for an hour, imagine what FIVE Crayola products will do? We always include some fresh Crayola products (nothing better than a 96ct crayons pack to keep them colouring) We fell in love with the Crayola Colour Alive books in the spring, and they are the perfect thing to tuck into a creative kids stocking! Check out our detailed review of colour alive here!
You can’t go wrong with ANY crayola product, and they have gifts for all ages! Including the My First Mix & Match Book for ages 24m and up, or the Minions Colour & Sticker Book or the 16ct Broad Line PipSqueaks Markers! Whatever you need, Crayola has it!
Hair Accessories
If your family is anything like ours they consume hair accessories at a rapid pace. I always like to load them up with necessities like hair elastics and hair bands, as well as a few fun additions like the Goody. Plus, hair bands and ponies fit perfectly in all those “stocking gaps” that always seem to happen.
Fuzzy Socks
Useful, but still a huge treat! Everyone of every age loves a fresh pair of fuzzy socks, especially on a cold winters day! Plus, they add BULK to your stocking (and can help protect any breakables that might be in there)
Don’t make stocking stuffers a last minute thing, and spend some time to put some fabulous surprises in their stocking that are more than just “treats” but will be useful and fun too!
