Whats a Fayoumi you ask? Why a chicken of course. An Egyptian chicken!

Which means our flock is becoming extraordinary!

Hubby picked this lovely lady up this summer, enchanted by her name, and looks.  Swift and fabulous, she integrated well into the flock. The Fayoumi are said to be one of the oldest chicken breeds, and quite resistant to disease. She is a “survivor” style chicken, great flight, fast speed and independent.

Much different from our needy and rather stupid Polish hens.
