I was an earlish 70’s kid, which means I was more Family Ties that Full House, and skipped the “fresh prince” all together. TV wasn’t a staple when I was growing up, more a family affair, or us kids hovering around while my Dad held the remote hostage.
These days though, our kids seem to dominate our Netflix channel with Hubby and I only getting a go every now and then, or when we “lay down the law” (i.e. get to the clicker first). My middle child has worked her way through all sorts of old school family shows and has found a happy home with the 7 seasons of Full House.
Every time I hear the TV turn on I hear that little Jingle piping up through the floor boards. She is laying into Full House like her Dad and I obsessed over Breaking Bad. Or Dexter…..
But its okay- its a sweet show really, and even though I missed it the first time around I find myself being drawn in when I happen to pass by with an armload of laundry. It has positive messages, and I just can’t help but wish for a better future for those sweet little Olsen twins (why did you girls end up so dark??)
With the news announcement of the release of the new FullER House series, my daughter is ecstatic! This is ever binge sitcom go-ers dream! (Like, what IF Dexter started killing again? In his new life? and what about his son?? Living with another serial killer? I see a story there) She is ready to embrace this next series, just like she is the first.
We had a chance to preview the first 6 episodes of Fuller House (I know, she has been bragging all week) and I can tell you that they still keep the positive family experience, with great values! Here is a synopsis!
In Fuller House, the adventures that began in 1987 on Full House continue, with veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron-Bure) recently widowed and living in San Francisco. D.J.’s younger sister/aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and D.J.’s lifelong best friend/fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber), along with Kimmy’s feisty teenage daughter Ramona, all move in to help take care of D.J.’s three boys — the rebellious 12-year-old Jackson, neurotic 7-year-old Max and her newborn baby, Tommy Jr.
You can find all 13 episodes on Netflix starting on Friday, February 26!
