Second full week is rolling out, kids are getting back into the rhythm of the school year (and so am I) The house is quiet again, laundry gets done and the floors stay clean for a few hours each day.
And nostalgia sets in.

I think back to my school days, that return to the routine, the new school clothes and the year spread out ahead of us full of opportunity. I would always go in with high expectations of keeping my desk neat, or doing my homework on time (and not falling behind in math AGAIN!)
Itchy plaid skirts, new shirts, and fresh socks. Shoes you haven’t quite broken in yet, and packages of school supplies.
For many, it is scrounging together the money to pay for school programs and supplies. Thanks to Staples Canada, with over 1 million dollars donated to local schools, many of these supplies were covered for children in need.For most of us anyway.
