Remember those awesome Back to School clothes we bought? We spent the day shopping at Sears, the girls loaded up and were all excited for heading back and wearing their new duds.

Everything was tucked away, waiting for the first day.

Or . . . it was supposed to be.

Until “medium” kid decided she needed to impress her friends with her new look and put on this outfit.

And impress her friends she did.  And off they go to play.

The problem?  We live on a farm. And on that farm we have chickens and ducks and rabbits. Grass, ponds, and trees to climb.

Oh, and we have dogs. Two dogs. One who is blind.

And the blind one LOVES to swim in the pond.  She swims and swims and swims for hours, but when it is time to get her out, she (obviously) has a hard time seeing the edge so often someone needs to be down there to guide her and drag her out.

Luckily (?) the kids were all playing in the field, and were “on hand” to rescue the blind dog.

Except the blind dog didn’t want rescuing.

And then this happened.

Yes. A dip in the pond via a slide down the bank did some massive damage to our Back to School Clothes. The DAY BEFORE school started even.

Kids came running up, covered in muck. Deep, ground in, slimy muck.  Clothes were stripped off on the porch and Purex Oxi was put to the test.

I treated directly on the stains with Purex Plus Oxi and scrubbed that baby until I could scrub no more.  I let it sit for a few minutes and then tossed the whole mess into the washing machine.

A deep wash, and then out on the line to dry and the clothes were good as new and ready to wear to school.  I was amazed that the stains came out of the white shirt. . . seriously amazed.
