I am finding my strong WOMAN-ness again.
Not the mom-ness. Or the wife-ness.
Just the ME-ness.
The strong-heavy lifting-outdoorsey sorta gal, who got pregnant, got tired, and got “mommed” out.
I am finally finding my strength (both physical and mental) again, and am loving diving into life and work again.
And I finally got me some cool tools that are helping get the job done.
Like this little baby.
Hubs did a bit of a giggle when it came. He opened the box before I got home and gave it a “test drive” on a MASSIVE round of wood. Our wood chopping block.
At that stage he wrote it off as a “girls tool”
Until this weekend. We were clearing some land and trying to open up a forest at a friends, and I brought my “little chopper” along. When hubs took down a big tree, this little baby cleaned up all the branches and halved our work time.
I even got to take down the pole trees myself.
By the end of our day, hubby had found his love for the chainsaw. He is a true believer that every tool has it’s job, and for what we were doing that day, this was the tool.
It’s lightweight, has an easy push button start and is QUIET!
So quiet we could actually talk over it.
It cleared the cedar branches off of half a dozen big trees and even took down a maple and 5 pole cedars. We worked it hard and the battery life (and the chain) kept up.
And when we got home, hubby put it with his work tools. Like, to take to work.
This little chainsaw was just enough for me. I am way to freaked to use the BIG ONE, and being able to easy start, and handle it without worry allowed pitch in completely. Nothing worse than standing on the sidelines because you don’t have tools you can use.
You can grab the Ryobi 40-Volt cordless chainsaw at Home Depot, or buy online. $99.00 is so worth the use you will get out of this saw.
In fact. . . I might pick one up for my mom for christmas!
Thanks to Ryobi Outdoors for letting me test drive this great chainsaw! All views expressed in this post are my own! And yes… that IS me taking down that pole tree! I did not have a stand in!
