I have always enjoyed being a part of a team, all working to better an industry, or for a common goal. But as an solo entrepreneur, working from home. . . there are a not many collaborative opportunities to feel “part of” something bigger than myself.
Except, when there is.
Early on I recognized the importance of a network, even as a blogger, working from my sweaty office, on a rock far, far away.
Before my blog was even a “blog” I went to Blissdom Canada in Toronto. I found my people. I found support and encouragement and opportunity. It created a stable foundation for me to build a business that would CHANGE my life.
Two years later I have plans to attend Blissdom Canada again in Toronto this fall, and frequently write on WHY you should go to a conference, HOW to prepare to attend one, and WHAT it will do for you.
But I get it. It is an investment, especially for us “non Toronto” peeps. Flights, hotels, conference tickets. . . all of it.
So, why do it?
In a nutshell, you need to grow, and by challenging yourself to step out of your community, and your comfortable box, you WILL. You will grow your network, your contacts, your knowledge and your creativity.
There is still time to grab a ticket to Blissdom Canada this year, OR a chance for you to test it out.
The team from Bliss is coming to Vancouver. Monday July 7th they will be at Joey’s in Coquitlam to offer TWO workshops, and a tweet up cocktail party with Rent-Frock-Repeat.
Why would you come?
YOU NEED TO GROW. You need to connect with bloggers outside of your city/province/country. You need to expand your network and get YOUR name in the mix.
If you want to blog for a business: you need to be here.
If you want to blog for opportunity: you need to be here.
If you want to grow, or change or develop: YOU NEED TO BE HERE.
Book your ticket.
Come and hang with me and the Bliss team and start working on expanding YOUR business NOW.
