Sitting on the bus, on my very own (literal) road to Bliss(dom) and thinking back over the last two days in Toronto She-Blogging it with shebloggers from across Canada at Link2013.
I am tired. Content.
And impressed.
The rooms at the King Edward Hotel were Amaze-balls. Gorgeous. WOWZA like. I am a bit of a heritage freak so was uber impressed by the chandeliers and amazing touches.
The rooms ^^^^(obviously) amazing, with super comfy beds and lots of room to stretch out and get comfy! But it was the architecture around the whole hotel that as truly amazing. Stone pillars, beautiful bathrooms, and amazing finishes!
And the sessions, were great. Jeanne Beker was the fierce and powerful female that makes me grow my girl balls and get to task. Bob Blumer made me realize I really should try and be more innovative in the kitchen.
And the whole theme of re-invention and staying current rang loud and true throughout the entire conference really struck a chord in me. My last 10 years have been all over reinventing. All about staying current and searching out the next thing… and not getting stuck into what other people are doing, but blazing my own trail.
Having the chance to connect with media and pr (and brands) at the conference was valuable, as was meeting the sheblogs team and the sheblogs publishers. I dragged my sorry ass out of bed each morning to participate in the soul filling y-yoga classes, and loved the interactions over meals.
As publishers, we were treated well, and given the opportunity to ask questions and get information.
It was awesome.
I walked away with more ideas, and more confidence in the ideas i had before I went. I left feeling passionate about my choice to be with Sheblogs. I left with new friends and connections and a broader Canadian network.
I laughed (a lot) I learned (a lot) and I ate very, very well.
And I left happy and content. . .
