I have never really had any issues in knowing how to make money blogging and bringing in revenue. I had my first job before I was even legally allowed to work, and was always able to get more opportunities, additional hours and bring in dollars when we needed them.
This is part of what led me into becoming an entrepreneur. I could always make MORE money, if I needed it, and could balance my schedule based on my own values. It frustrated me whenever I had a salaried job since I always knew what I could make each month, and any growth beyond that needed to happen outside of my regular work day!
As an entrepreneur I have found it fairly easy to bring in an additional income to adapt to life changes, increased savings (or expenses) or for a splurge, when needed. As a blogger it is ESPECIALLY easy, and am sharing my five tips on ways to make easy money this month and sources below!
Extra ways to make money blogging this month
1. Use Your Skills
There are a few different opportunities for easy online work that actually uses your skills as a blogger and can help you make money blogging! UserTesting is one way to easily make some extra coin each month! You sign up for a user testing account, do a trial test and then accept and participate in evaluating websites, apps and platforms as it fits your schedule. You are paid apx $10 a test, and each test takes 10-20 minutes. You can do as many or as few as you like, and if making an extra $100 bucks a week floats your boat, and if doing it in just a few hours rocks your world, then user testing may just be the spot for you.
2. Have a Sale
As influencers and bloggers we SHOULD be driving at least SOME of our own sales. If your budget is tight one month than having a “SALE” on your products or services COULD be the solution to driving sales. My suggestion is to bulk package your products/services (i.e. 2 blog posts plus a newsletter advertising) and give them a discount. Create a simple sale sheet via canva and then send it out with a little note to your contact list and previous clients.
Everyone loves a sale and this could be just the thing that excites them into purchasing!
3. Create a NEW product
To stay ahead of the curve you need to be consistently creating new products or services for your clients. Perhaps you have an underused e-list or a new concept of post you would like to offer? Or perhaps your YouTube channel is FINALLY ready to work with brands? Add to this the opportunity for diving into higher level products (integrated campaigns, twitter parties) and your own special twist on each of them and you have some new products or services to offer to your past clients! Get creative, think out of the box and MOST IMPORTANTLY let your past clients know that you have new additions available!
And if you have yet to dive into affiliate marketing (or have, and haven’t seen success, check out my tips on the best affiliate programs and how to make them work for you.
4. Work Your Networks
Our own sales are one way to generate income as a blogger or influencer, but networks can also send you easy sales. While you are managing your site and sales, they are managing integrated campaigns that they need amazing influencers for!
Treating your networks like clients is necessary, and could help keep you on the top of their list! Engage with their posts on social media, support campaigns (even if you aren’t on them) and look for new networks accepting influencers. My current new favourites are Tap Influence (an online platform that allows you to set your own rates!) and Influence Central (for USA & Canadian Bloggers) .
Something to keep in mind as well is that it is always okay to update your network on what you are doing, improvements you have made or growth you have experienced. Asking for feedback is also a great idea, and even if they are too busy to provide it, it will demonstrate that you are open to receiving it! Send a quick email to your network contacts, and share the “whats new” in your business! You will be amazed at the response you get just by connecting with them.
5. Sell Your Pics
As a blogger or influencer you may just have a knack with a camera. If you want to have an additional way to make money blogging, look to online photo sites. They are always looking to increase their inventory and signing up to contribute your images to their data base could bring in some nice passive income! Check out Shutterstock or BigStock and start uploading your pictures today!
I am a true believer that the ability to create revenue for yourself is always there. By exploring the opportunities, applying yourself and having logic and consistency, you will have the opportunity to earn those extra dollars, when and if you need them.
