It was a tough week. Sign went up Monday. I was out three nights this week at events, and add to that 3 daytime mass events… all while doing our final clean and prep for the open house… and oh right, the kids.
Forgot about the kids.
All week long I had 2pm Saturday as my “last until” point. And yes, I lasted. Just barely, and with tonnes of help, but I did make it
I felt this flu hitting all week. I did site visits with a fever, and smiled my way through networking with a sore throat. I hurried the PAC meeting along as quickly as I could.
Hubby was up late painting and cleaning, and then up early again working. In between meetings and work, I slept.
With our open house booked for 2pm Saturday the plan was for hubby to take the kids out while I did the mass clean and dress of the house. It was a great plan, and it was what we did last time we sold (a 14000 sq foot house, with 1 kid)
One problem.
3000 sq feet.
Oh, and three kids. (and a hamster, and 2 dogs!)
Brilliant friend suggested I get a cleaner to come in.
We are do it yourself peeps …. For everything. I am not so good at asking for help, especially for stuff I can do. I also have some slight control issues… yes slight!
But I called. And Kelly came. And Kelly saw, and Kelly conquered. And then I collapsed.
Cleaners are pretty awesome you know and in my feverish state Kelly was even better than I imagined.
We had high hopes for this open house, and were deserate to tie this part of our life in a bundle and be done with it… move on to the next thing. Alas, no. Many interested people, but not enough to make an offer. Arggh.
So, we are onto that touch and go stage of showings.
And I am still sick.
