As we continue on with our “little plan” I am attempting to make the task manageable by only doing small chunks at a time. Like on survivor when they have to consume the entire cow head… one tiny little bite at a time and whatever you do, don’t look up and see what you have ahead of you.
There is a certain…. Risk to this method.
We find ourselves progressing well on our end of the preparations, but alas, on the other end, we are attempting patience.
Oh my, we haven’t told you where we are going yet, have we? Maybe that can wait a little longer…
A few things have come to our notice since we decided to move… well, to where we are moving.
First: there are only 2 suitable homes available for rent.
Yes, two. Only two. And one of them was hoping for a “low impact” family. My family is many things (great at touch up repairing being one) but I wouldn’t say that with 3 kids, 2 dogs and 2 hamsters we are low impact. No, I don’t think so.
So, being highly confident and courageous folks, and still feeling like the sun was shiny on our arses, we put all our eggs in one basket, and did everything we could to ensure that these potential overlords (or is it landlords? It has been so long) were confident with us.
The second thing we have noticed… it is very difficult (read EXPENSIVE) to convince someone to move our belongings to this place. In fact, when using American based companies… this place doesn’t exist.
Awesome.
So, here we wait. Patiently (read panic stricken and again succumbing to night terrors) we wait until we know if we do in fact have a home to go to come September or if we are camping out with a uhaul truck for a few months (those things can be pretty fancy you know)
