We have just a few weeks until Easter Chaos breaks out with mounds of delicious treats, and that magical morning when the kids come and see their baskets, filled with love by the flopping earned bunny.
Time for me to jump into planning mode and ensure that those baskets are filled with JUST sweet treats, but items just as awesome.
And while we LOVE chewing off bunny ears, I want to ensure our baskets are filled with items that can keep the kids busy and entertained while Dad and I enjoy the day (and the leftover glazed ham from the night before)
Here are a few of our favourite items to sneak into the easter baskets, for kids of ALL ages!
On March 10th, Zack & Quack are coming to Canada for the 1st time on DVD in the release Zack & Quack: Popping Hopping Easter. This series follows the adventures of a dynamic boy named Zack & his best friend, an impulsive young duck, called Quack. They live inside the most amazing pop-up book ever! It’s a place full of fantastical surprises – where pulling pop-ups makes exciting and unexpected things happen. New worlds and fantastic voyages quite literally unfold before your eyes in this five episode DVD.

Another favourite of ours is the Movie “Guess How Much I Love You”. We all remember Little NutBrown Hair, and what a lovely way to keep the kids content on Easter, especially if the weather doesn’t deliver.
Check out my review on the DVD here.
We are ALL about the outside time, so anything we can add to our little’s easter baskets to encourage them to come and play in the garden is a win for us! We are LOVING the fun new products from Crayola, including some (super rad) special effects chalk like “Glitter”, “Tie Dye” and Neon colours.

In the end, Easter to me is more about the welcoming of Spring than the gorging on chocolate. It is a hint of summer fun, and easter baskets should be filled with goodies that will help ease kids through the crazy ups and downs of spring time weather. Whatever you fill your basket with, I just encourage you to think “outside the box” this year!
