That’s it. Bags are packed, and toenails are painted (after an hour of scrubbing the farm off my feet) and a month of preparing for blogher, I think am ready to hit San Jose for my second Blogher experience.
Ready-ish.
Butterflies are flapping around in my belly and the nerves/excitement growing. Possibly knowing more about what to expect this year makes it a little more terrifying/awesome, or maybe I just have more on my list that I want to achieve this year? It isn’t just about building relationships for this site, but also for BLUNTmoms, and growing my consulting network.
Lots on the list!
Whatever it is. . . there is definitely some anxiety.
It has been building all week, and usually when that happens and I am overwhelmed by what I can’t control, I work on what I can control.
Freezer is filled with meals from Saving Dinner e-recipe book. Hubby can grab a bag, (with the accompanying recipe attached) and toss it on the BBQ or in the Crock Pot. Easy peasy, and while he was excited about the ease of feeding everyone, it also relieved a TONNE of stress for me knowing I have helped take something off his plate during my absence.
My desk is cleared, as much as it can be, work wise. Projects had wrap dates of this week and nothing else is scheduled to start until my return. It made for a crazy July, but will be totally worth shutting off a little while I am in conference mode. And, looking at my schedule, I am not sure there will be TIME for me to do much online. . . my weekend is PACKED!
And once I get on that plane, I will submit. I will fully sink into the experience and allow myself to welcome whatever comes my way, including a last minute stop over in San Francisco. Thanks to HotelTonight our gaggle of girls will be overnighting in this awesome spot, wandering the city, perhaps getting into a little trouble at a local tattoo parlour.
The big question is, will I have the courage to get inked for the very first time?
Stay tuned, and if you too will be at Blogher14, lets chat.
If you won’t be, check out this free email recipe guide from Saving Dinner and get prepared for the next time you are too busy to cook!
