I oozed happiness last night. Just oozed.
Chatting with hubby I said how great the day was. I mentioned that in all my time with him, what we did today was always there on the “family bucket list”
And bucket list isn’t even the right word . . dream list is probably more appropriate.
I always wanted to, but never really thought it would all come together.
When we left “the city” 6+ months ago, we left a beautiful garden. It was a pleasure, and a hobby to tend and create our space. As a family we would work, and play in the garden 12 months out of the year.
But, it was never big enough.
And it was big. trust me – it was a big garden by city standards.
But, I wanted a veggie plot, and fruit trees and space for a “garden”
I wanted a farm, or an estate . . .
I wanted more.
And today, we hoed, and dug and pitch forked over a HUGE veggie garden plot. Simple pleasures really, and granted, we are still only renting, but I can see the possibility of having the garden on my dreams getting closer.
The kids all joined us, as did the chickens.
It was bliss. Simple, free and out of doors on a sunny spring day.
With chickens . . .
