I get to have quality time with my little dude a lot, and that sometimes means he is dragged places that don’t always suit his interests. Shopping for clothing on the Island can sometimes be challenging, and doing it with a 4 year old adds another level of awesome to it!
I am a grab and go shopper. I load up my cart with items and pick and choose and whittle my objects down as I make my way to the till. And I like to be able to get a little something for everyone when I DO hit the shops.
We have a local Pharmasave beside our Grocery store that has become my go-to spot for everything (yes EVERYTHING) and the little dude has learned that with patience, comes the reward.
We needed (correction, I needed) some new summer gear, and the little fellow was helpful enough to model some items for me so I could choose.
That skirt has become my go-to FAVOURITE each sunny morning by the way!
We also, the whole lot of us, needed flip-flops. . . LOVE the selection here! I was able to grab dressy flip-flops, boating flip-flops and even “enjoying a g&t while the chickens free-range” flip-flops!
Our girls burn through the flip-flops, so having a variety on hand is perfect!
And the home decor kills me every time I walk in. They have dreamy items, perfect for gift giving (even if the gift giving is for ME) and they always have something that feeds into my love of fowl- how cute is this blue chicken??
And of course, after spending a chunk of time looking at table linens and cake servers, and collecting enough flip-flops and long skirts to keep me outfitted, we head over to the toy aisle.
My little dude sits and commits to his choice, spreading out the options (much like I would handbags) until he finds the perfect treat to take home to the sandbox.
I “might” have caved this time and got him two cars. . but he did help me find a skirt.
Shopping with boys can be fun for us moms, but I do think we need to train them right. Just like I would with the hubby, he helps me, and through extreme patience and support (yes dear, the skirt DOES look good) he gets his reward. Not a flashy red sports car like the dude gets, but something just as good.
And if you want my skirt (or handbag) and need to replace your flip-flops, check out your local Pharmasave for options! And big thanks to #CollectiveBias for the shoppertunity of showing off my choices from Pharmasave on Salt Spring Island.
