We are back home now, after our amazing St. Lucia holiday. It was wonderful to get away, be warm and relax, but it has also been just as wonderful to get home again. Just about 6 months ago we started this “journey” of ours. Six months of chaos, changes and adapting. To me it feels like we have been sprinting ahead of a crumbling mountain, just barely staying out of the landslide rubble.
But, the mountain has suddenly stopped crumbling, and I feel like we are about to embark on a new stage of our adventure.
As we drove off the ferry, the very end of our long 28hr trip home from St. Lucia, it sank in that we were coming home. We have this whole island ahead of us, waiting to be discovered and loved, and we are now here, ready and available to do it.
The next 6 months will see us digging in our feet, building friendships and launching businesses. We will be on a search for a “forever” home, and standing still, for once.
It is crazy to be where we are right now in our life.
We have been unsatisfied for so long, desperate to travel the world, doing daily snoops looking for our dream on MLS . . . itching our feet searching for the next thing.
For the first time in a long time . . . I am no longer searching. I am standing still.
We are happy
Finally, and for a moment, we are happy.
