Life is busy, we say this all the time. And as moms, it is even crazier.

We all see the funny cartoons running through our news feed about how moms only wish is to go to the bathroom by herself.

Sad, but it is so true.

With three kids (and a handsome hubby) multiple critters and an at-home business, it all gets a little tiring.  I feel pulled in so many directions, and never feel like I can give everyone, everything they want, or deserve.

Mom guilt, right. Never enough for them, or us.

And I am usually pretty good at handling it all, but this past two weeks, battle a flu, and a two week spring break, I feel like my defenses are down.  I tried to sneak off to the sunshine a few times over the weekend, but then the cockerel starts crowing and begging for scratch and the dog jumps in the pond and gets stuck in the reeds.

While hubby had the littles outside in the evening, I snuck into the bath tub with my book and my favorite Black Orchid/Velvet Hibiscus Body wash, trying to warm up and “heal” from this flu.(it is great as a bubble bath, not just a body wash fyi!)

I was thrilled for 5 minutes until I had the fortune to share the bath with the mucky 3yr old. (ps. the whole “sharing” the bath thing is a lie. He kicked me out and I was too weak to defend myself)

It isn’t easy to find time.

And it is especially hard to take the time when you do find it.

We always have something else to do (dishes, laundry, groceries, a never ending list)

But. I am going to leave them.

At least for today.
