A huge SMOOCH to Christine Nielsen for sharing her thoughts with us today!
I have always been a realist, a pragmatic, a planner, a saver, an atheist, a believer in science and walker of the straight and narrow. I have never taken any major risks, and have always enjoyed the simple comforts of “home”. I went to school, got a degree, lived in Vancouver, Victoria, then back to Vancouver, worked, got married, had 2.5 kids (really, I truly did, as we lost a baby at 21 weeks but that is another story).
Over the years hubby and I have talked excitedly about throwing caution to the wind, selling it all and moving abroad with not much more than a suitcase and the kids, but for all the reasons above, it never came to fruition….so much for carpe diem.
Very recently the topic has come up again, and while moving to California for awhile might not be super exotic, it definitely appeals to the cautiously adventure-ish side of me and qualifies as living in foreign country – check and check!
Coincidentally, this past weekend at the Everywoman Conference, I somewhat begrudgingly sat down with Roxanne, a lovely spirit who practices palmistry, amongst other “spritual arts”. As she travelled my life line she told me “You are going to live in a foreign country” in the near future. And as our session moved along, I got more and more tingly at the what the future might hold and was so happy to have opened myself up to this experience and will for sure do it again in the future.
So stay tuned folks, only time will tell if my address will contain 90210 in it!
