As the winter continues on, and on (and on) this mama is getting crunchier and crunchier by the day. A week now without being able to actually LEAVE the property has made it even worse. Winter is making me ugly.
Well, not ugly. Just, a bit rough around the edges.
Limited showers (no power means no water here) and far too many carbs has me craving fresh veggies, sunshine and a bit of a “clean me up” day.
I want to smell like something other than woodsmoke, and wear makeup not just for the chickens, but for REAL LIFE people. I want a reason to wax my legs this year (yes. I said “this year”)
I want to put on sport socks, not wool socks, and I want to wear pink, and white and light blue and welcome spring with everything I have.
I want to shop for pretty little things and buy tulips for the counter.
I want spring.
I want to force it to be here, despite the snow that is still on the ground and strawberries that are still very expensive in the supermarket.
And force it I will.
I will start with allowing myself some time to get cleaned up. A marathon session, if you will, of scrubbing the winter off my skin and getting ready to bare my legs for when (and if) the sun ever shows up.
I am hittingMurale by Shoppers Drug Mart to load up on necessities (and while I am there, will take advantage of their back by popular demand Fab & Free offer that includes a free cosmetic bag with 27 deluxe samples valuing $385 with purchases of 100$ or more*).
This offer is available unitl March 7 in stores, and March 12th online. Check their website for locations near you.
I am going to smother myself in fresh scents, and moisturize my skin until it glows like it did last spring. I am going to slow down and take the time to give my skin a bit of time to relax, and rejuvenate. I mean, it deserves it after almost 40 (eek) years and I think the Juice Beauty Moisturizer and the Skyn Iceland cool firming eye gels will really do the trick to this tired face.
And customers will also get a Fab & Free Optimum Bounce Back offer with their free cosmetic bag & samples that includes 20,000 Optimum Points for products featured in the booklet between March 8th and April 4th (purchases of $125 or more, in store only, before tax).
It’s time for a spring clean, but not just for the house this year, for me as well. A freshening up and recharge of my body and soul, inside and out.
A little pampering perhaps.
And hopefully that will get me through how ever many winter days are left before the sun does decide to join us. So join me at Murale and start planning your spring clean up today, and let’s FORCE spring to come a little quicker together!
It can’t hurt to try!
