I am brand spanking new to the platform Triberr. Like, “new car smell” new.
Really new.
While I have had an account for awhile, I could never quite figure out what to do with it, how to get started or if it was actually worth the time to learn. As one of a million (ok, maybe that is an exaggeration) different platforms to share content that haven’t worked for me, I was exhausted even approaching Triberr to figure it out, worried about logging into another useless platform.
But. I needed to try.
So, this past week I made it a mission to leap in and really suss it out. get my hands dirty and my feet wet and figure out if Triberr really would push my content out and result in more clicks.
This is what I have learned:
1. Headlines matter
When you participate in “tribes” your tribemates will share your posts by a simple retweet or share. No additional content, just the title of your post, a link to your handle and the URL.
I don’t know if it is legal or not, but for the posts I need a hashtag in, I started putting it in the title. As well, it is valuable to make longer titles that capture the theme of your post when assessing your Triberr value.
2. you WILL get engagement, IF you engage.
Triberr is (obviously) all about the tribes. It took me a bit to figure out how to find “real to me” tribes, bot just random gatherings of people. I wanted a Tribe that knew me in Real Life, or even my current on line life.
I was able to find a few peeps I knew by searching for their name (or site) in the search bar. Once in the tribes, sharing the posts in the activity feed will a) let people know you are there and b) create good karma for them to share your stuff back!
Because that is the cycle of Triberr. Share, and be shared.
3. It is all twitter baby
We all know Twitter rules the universe when it comes to promoting and measuring, and Triberr is all twitter! When posts are shared, they are pushed out on twitter. So, knowing this be ready to retweet and share as others push your content out. This is a good time to refer you back to point 1 as well – think in twitter language when composing your titles!
4. It gives YOU miles of content & increase your ability to engage on Social Media
Being in tribes gives you a quick place to go and find miles of content to push out, and the more content (tweets ) you push out, the more reasons people will have to engage with you. Talk on twitter, and people will talk back! As well, since you are linking the author in your tweet, you are already opening a discussion! If you go so far as to actually read the article (and not just the headline) be sure to edit your tweet and put a few thought provoking tidbits in there! Social media is about engagement, so engage!
5. You can do it with your eyes closed.
Yes, it IS this easy. Once you are in a few tribes, and have linked u your content to be automatically updated, just pop in and approve what you want to share. I prefer to visit once a day (or even twice) and manually share the posts that appeal, but that is just me. But trust me, don’t be scared off, or overwhelmed, it is easy and fast!
It is worth it.
So, yup. I think Triberr is a good one. My shares and views have gone up, and my content is reaching new streams. As well, since Triberr has added in compensated opps. it brings a certain extra value to being involved.
If you haven’t dabbled in Triberr yet, come check me out and check out my fresh, new tribe.. at least if you do decide to sign up for an account, you will have somewhere to hang your hat while you get your feet wet!
